Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu. Transfer from the International Airport to your hotel in Kathmandu. Attend the welcome dinner with a cultural dance program.

Day 2: Cultural Tour of Bhaktapur and Nagarkot. Leave for Bhaktapur by private car. Your tour of Bhaktapur will visit an ancient Newari town, the Royal Palace, Golden Gate as well as other noted sights. Visit Changu Narayan Temple, a fine example of the 4th century Nepali pagoda shaped temple and the oldest temple in Kathmandu Valley. Drive to Nagarkot and enjoy a stunning sunset view of the Himalayas (weather permitting).

Day 3: Kathmandu sightseeing. Enjoy viewing the sunrise over the mountains from the resort. Travel back to Kathmandu and visit Pashupatinath temple, the center of Hindu cremation and sadhus in Nepal. Your tour continues on to the Bodhnath Stupa, a holy place of Buddhism; as well as to the Swayambhunath Temple, known locally as the monkey temple. Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square and see the Kasta Mandap, Kumari (Virgin Goddess) House, Hanuman Dhoka and the colourful local markets.

Day 4: Patan sightseeing. Take an early morning mountain Flight (Optional). Visit Khokana for its medieval atmosphere where you can see Nepali oil manufacturing, typical customs and abundant agricultural fields. Continue your tour on to Bungmat, the 16th century city. Visit the Rato Machindra Nath (Red Rain Lord), typical Nepali buildings and Karya Binayak Temple. After lunch you will take a tour of Patan, including the Krishna Temple, Golden Temple, local markets, the art museum and the Tibetan Refugee Camp.

Day 5: Dakshinkali and Kirtipur sightseeing. Visit Dakshinkali, a famous Hindu shrine to the goddess Kali. On the way back to Kathmandu you will stop at the village of Pharping, which offers a panoramic view of the Himalaya’s as well as Buddhist and Hindu shrines along side each other.

Day 6: Departure. Tour arrangements end at the hotel in Kathmandu.
